  • If a patron loses an item, they should notify the library immediately to halt the accrual of fines or fees.
  • The patron will be billed for the replacement of the item, processing fees, and accrued fines as follows:
    • A non-refundable processing fee of $10.00
    • Access Services will research library charges at a patron's request. They may fill out the form available at the Access Services Desk, and the library will investigate the matter and provide follow-up information.
    • The overdue fine is $0.25 per day per item.

**To make a payment, log in to your account here or go to “my account” on the library’s homepage.

Appeals

Access Services will research library charges at a patron's request. The form is available at the Access Services Desk. The library will investigate and provide follow-up information.

Examples of reasons that do not constitute a valid basis for changing fines or fees include:

  • Not knowing Access Services policies, forgetting the due date, or not agreeing with library policies.
  • Allowing another person to use your ID card or loan the material to a third party.
  • Forgetting to notify the library when addresses and phone numbers change.

Holds

  • Staff may request an item available in the Circulating Collection by putting it on the Hold shelf for pick up within seven (7) days.
  • Follow these steps to put an item on hold:
    1. Go to Falcon Finder on the Library’s Home Page.
    2. Type the title of the item, click “Search” under Falcon Finder
    3. Locate the item and click the link. Sign in to make the "request" to place the item on hold. An email notification will be sent when the item is on the hold shelf and is ready for pickup.
