Family Weekend 2024

UT Permian Basin's Family Weekend is set for Friday, October 4 and Saturday, October 5. Students and their families will have time to explore UTPB, have meals together, take part in fun activities on campus, and have the opportunity to attend a football game! Be sure to register to let us know your family is attending.

Registration

Registration is $30 for family members and $15 for students, and children 5 and under are free. 

Registration closes on Monday, September 30. If you have questions about the registration form or need assistance, please email studentlife@utpb.edu or call (432) 552-2651.

Friday, October 4

5:30 PM - 6:30 PM

• Check-in - UTPB Library

6:00 PM

• Dinner - (UTPB Library): Reconnect with your student(s) and other families over dinner in our renovated library. You’ll have the opportunity to take family photos, hear from campus administrators, and see updates on campus projects.

7:00 PM - 10:00 PM

• Mural Painting (Student Activity Center (SAC)): Join us for a Student Life come-and-go event! The mural painting activity will be led by a local artist and the mural will hang in the SAC upon completion.

7:00 PM - 9:00 PM

• Band & Color Guard Practice (Kirk Field): Stop by and watch our Spirit of the Permian Basin marching band rehearse their show for the game on Saturday. This is a fun way to see our talented students in action!

Saturday, October 5

8:00 AM

• Nature Trail Walk - (Stonehenge Replica): Wake up and get the day started with a walk around our beautiful nature trail on campus!

9:00 AM - 9:45 AM

• Yoga (Outdoor Fitness Court): Take some time to relax, stretch, and experience our new outdoor fitness court.

10:00 AM - 10:30 AM

• Donuts with the Deans (Student Activity Center): Enjoy coffee and donuts with our Dean of Students staff. Take this opportunity to ask questions and get to know our team!

10:30 AM - 11:15 AM

• First-Gen Meet & Greet (SAC): Connect with our first-generation team to discuss how things are going and what resources are available to help your student(s) succeed.
• E-sports Activity (Library): Show off your gaming skills in our new e-sports lounge.
• Makerspace Activity (Library): Visit our new makerspace on campus. Learn about the tools we have available and create something fun!

11:00 AM

• UTPB Women’s Soccer (Kirk Field): Cheer on our Falcons as they take on Dallas Baptist University.

12:00 PM

• Lunch (on your own): This is time to reconnect as a family and try that favorite spot in town!

3:00 PM

• Football Tailgate (Astound Stadium): Meet up with the Office of Student Life and Campus Activities Board for some pre-game fun! We will have refreshments and games available.

4:00 PM

• Falcon Walk (Astound Stadium): Join our UTPB spirit teams and band as we cheer on our football team!

6:00 PM

• Football Game (Astound Stadium): All football tickets are free this year. Come on out and support our Falcons.
