Apply in Four Simple Steps

Apply to UTPB
Apply for admission to UT Permian Basin and select Nursing Intended as your major. Once admitted, you'll receive your UTPB student ID and can begin completing your nursing prerequisites.

Complete Your Prerequisites
Complete the required prerequisite coursework, including NURS 2301 and NURS 3368, while maintaining the required GPA and course grades for admission consideration.

Submit Your Nursing Application
Once you've met the eligibility requirements, complete the separate School of Nursing application and submit all required documentation by the application deadline. Incomplete applications will not be reviewed.

Receive Your Admission Decision
Applications are reviewed competitively based on admission requirements and available program capacity. Students selected for admission will receive additional information about orientation and next steps.

Admission Requirements
After You're Admitted
Before starting the Nursing Program, all admitted students must provide proof of current CPR certification and required immunizations. Additional instructions will be shared after admission.
