UTPB Faculty Exam Request Information

The UTPB Testing Center offers a 15-seat computer lab, providing UTPB faculty the opportunity to request proctored make-up exams in a secure testing environment for online and paper exams. Make-up exams are only eligible for students unable to attend class at the scheduled testing time. The testing lab is ADA accessible, and students in need of ADA testing can contact testingcenter@utpb.edu with any questions.

Faculty Exam Requirements

• Exams must be submitted to RegisterBlast at least two (2) weeks in advance.
• Professors may drop off a paper version of their exam to the Testing Center at least three (3) days before their open date, but they are still responsible for creating a test submission to RegisterBlast two (2) weeks in advance sans test upload. This allows students to make their appointments with plenty of time to schedule.
• It is the faculty's responsibility to pick up paper exams from the Testing Center. There is no obligation for Testing Services staff to send virtual copies of physical exams to professors.
• All exams accessible by password must have the password on their submission to be approved.
• There will be a maximum of 10 students permitted per make-up exam. At no point will an entire class be eligible for a make-up exam in the Testing Center.
  • Proctored make-up exams are only available to students unable to attend class for a scheduled exam. Optional retakes may be accepted in the Testing Center on a case-by-case basis.
• Testing Services reserves the right to reject exams that do not meet our policies.

• Students with accommodations are required to request that their accommodations be applied to each exam.

• Requested accommodations are uploaded into RegisterBlast and automatically applied to appointments. Extended time will be automatically applied, so there is no need to change the normal exam duration time when submitting in RegisterBlast.

Fall 2026 Availability for UTPB Faculty Exams

**If the campus is closed due to inclement weather or an unexpected event, student appointments during that time will be automatically canceled. It is the students’ responsibility to make necessary arrangements with their professors.**

Exam Submission Procedures - UTPB Faculty/Staff Only

NOTE: Faculty are only permitted to submit exams for their own classes. Exams submitted for another faculty will not be approved.
