How Falcon Free Works
As a Falcon Free recipient, tuition and mandatory fees are covered through a combination of federal, state, and institutional funds. Examples of funds used to meet the Falcon Free program include, but are not limited to:
Pell Grant, Texas Grant, TPEG Grant, UTPB Grant, Merit Scholarship, state waivers and exemptions, Falcon Free Grant, and Falcon Free Scholarship.
*$10,000 is an estimated annual cost of tuition & mandatory fees for a full-time student.
Students may not always see a fund labeled "Falcon Free" on their financial aid offer; however, they will receive equivalent support through a combination of gift aid from different sources.
Falcon Free grants/scholarships are not refundable.
Non mandatory fees NOT covered by Falcon Free include but are not limited to: housing, books, ID card, parking fee, and meal plans.
